Since moving to New York, I’ve had several “Streisand moments” — by this, I make playful reference to the SNL skit “Coffee Talk” with Mike Myers as Linda Richman, who lived a life according to Streisand. When his character finally met Streisand, she proclaimed that the moment was, “Just like butter.” And after meeting and spending the day with Henry Winkler while helping promote his new book I’ve Never Met an Idiot on the River, I can happily report that it, too, was like butter.
He was even [unsurprisingly] kind enough to sign a book for my dad!
Just when I thought it was dying down, Bieber struck again. This time, though, he’s moved his attack to the bookshelves. According to an article I read (via Entertainment Weekly), teenage heartthrob, Justin Bieber, is coming out with a memoir, published by HarperCollins.
I guess Christopher Walken was wrong. The only prescription is not more cowbell. How will we cure the Bieber Fever?
While perusing my 1000+ unread items on Google Reader, I came across a tidbit from Gawker (though I’m almost sure I had read it before), about 30 Rock doing a live episode next season. Given the background of Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan, or the fact that Alec Baldwin has hosted the live sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live 15 times, it makes sense that they would at least be qualified, compared to other NBC shows, anyways, to do a live broadcast.
The episode is slated for October 14, 2010. A month before my birthday? I’ll pretend it’s a personal gift from NBC CEO and President, Jeff Zucker. Thanks, Zuck!
