Pardon the belated Book Expo America recap, but quite frankly, it may have taken me an entire month to recuperate from the 3-day expo. While last year at Javitz was fun, it was more overwhelming than educational. This year, however, with my trusty colleagues in-tow (Hillary Buckholtz, Anna Ko, Dee Donavanik, and Eric Glover), it was a star-turned-author studded, jolly good time.
My biggest victory of the show — beyond networking, of course — was that I somehow collected 20+ tote bags. My favorite tote hailed from Chronicle Books. I was lucky enough to score some other great swag, like signed copies of Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, Ellie Krieger’s So Easy, the first chapter of Tyra Banks’ Modelland, America’s Test Kitchen’s Slow Cooker Revolution, and Chuck Klosterman’s A Visible Man.
Keeping the theme of my last post, though, I wanted to share the video of my colleague, publicity manager, Hillary Buckholtz, interviewing author Adam Mansbach about his new book, Go the F**k to Sleep.
